The USS Katana is one of the few vessels who are assigned to Task Force 91 of the Exodus Fleet. This Task Force was created a few years after the discovery of the Lightway Channel network which led to the Andromeda Galaxy.
The USS Katana is a PBF-RPG runned by Commanding officer Dylan Cole McCartney. It is his solemn duty to guide the USS Katana and her crew trough dangerous and strange missions.
As always the USS Katana is open to any who wish to be a part of a new history within the federation. Take a look at the ship to get a glimpse of the intrepid class. And at her crew rooster for a open position onboard the USS Katana.

As Commanding Officer of the USS Katana I want to welcome you to her official website. The USS Katana is one of the latest build intrepid class starships, with one of the latest upgrades to her systems.
The USS Katana was commissioned for the command of Captain Dylan Cole McCartney and was given the registry numer NCC-74757 by Starfleet Command.

New TFXO

Since this week our beloved TFXO Maxwell has resigned his position as Task Force XO of TF91. H e has done so, because he was offered to take over the position of Task Force CO of TF46. In doing so he has climbed a step further. As CO and friend of Maxwell, I wish him luck in his new position as he has deserved it.
Within time I got a e-mail from our TFCO Liorae Saeihr, in which she asked me to be the new TFXO. Of course I said yes and it is with this that I have been promoted to the new TFXO of TF 91.
This will affect the position of the Katana within the Task Force as she is moved to the command Task Group.
I hope I have informed u all with this message.

As I’m writing this. I’m sure that you all have heard the news, or just bits and pieces of it. But it is to my duty as to bring you all up on the news that seems to be circling around the web.
First of all, I have already stated this news as much as possible. But I’d like to send it to you guys again. From of late, our beloved XO Racheal Smith has resigned her position as the XO of the Katana. She has chosen this due to her medical illness which makes it hard for her to keep up with things.
I wish her well and hope that she will become better. If anyone has questions about her, medical or anything else related. Please contact me trough pm or by means of my e-mail address.
In her place Lt. Miller will step up the plate as she will take on the position of XO, in doing so. The position of Chief Medical officer will be open once more.
Both Miller and me hope to restore the Katana to her full glory with your help. So we would like to see the posting rates go up once more. And with any luck let it stay at a 2 / 3 posts a week. This shouldn’t be such a hard goal to achieve.
What’s harder is keeping up creativity and maintaining that writing spirit of ours. Therefore I would like to get suggestions from you guys about what you would like to see in the missions. Talk about mission idea’s and so much more. Of course the best place to start this is on the forum. As you all know we have open area’s for that kind of talk and I would like to encourage you guys to make full use of it.
With the leave of Racheal and the ones before her, we are left with some major gaps in our rooster. Gaps that I’d like to see get filled once more with inspiring writers who are up to the challenge that not only the Katana brings. But also the main plot of TF91, which will bring a lot of change to us as a sim.
But as some people go, new ones will come into our sim and lives to bring a new twist to play. As long as you keep a open mind to them. It is with that I want to welcome our two new officers to the sim. Lt. Tan Salaris who will play our Chief Engineering Officer and Lt. Jg. Sasja who will play as our Chief Science Officer. As said on the forum, welcome onboard guys and enjoy the sim and like said. Make full use of her.
As you all know I’d like to move forward with our current mission and I’d like to talk about you guys on the upcoming mission. Thought I know we have some missions set up, this will be a different mission and will be put in the line of missions.
Mission 2 – A year and beyond
This mission will play after a year, in the year 2385. While in current play it still is year 2384. We have chosen this setup because we are actually playing a year from the Andromeda Galaxy Experiment. It also gives us the chance to build up of characters during that time.
I can’t give you all information yet, as some are still being made in script lines. But the point is that the Katana will be making of a gate developed by Starfleet to send vessels into the Andromeda Galaxy. Once there, we will have the unfortunate chance to encounter a drone vessel from the Elythians. As a result our gets destroyed in combat, taking down the drone vessel. Most of the crew will survive by means of escape pods and shuttles. But our vessel will be destroyed and we get pulled to the nearest starbase in that area of space. There we will get a new vessel and set sail again.
From there we will continue with the missions as planned, but then with some different filling.
As said we will get a new vessel, to be exact. We will be getting a Prometheus class vessel, which will help us trough the region of space. Until further notice.
With this change, I have decided that it is more than needed that we get a new website. Since I basically make the site on my own, we will get a new advanced site with some major changes and effects attached to it. As I’m actually using the site as my private experimental workplate for future designs.
I hope u will all understand this and get along with it. As much as possible.
Lastly I’m reporting that our new XO will be on leave till July the 12th, I wish her a well deserved vacation and we will see her after that date again. In the meantime I will use her character as NPC.
